Happy New Year ?

Why does the whole world feel like the re-set of the calendar is firework worthy? I mean, all we did was roll into the next day like any other day, it’s just this time, we stayed up all night waiting for it. Hell, my mother came out of her room, hugged my sister and I, saying we made it.

I’m not going to front, I cried a little when she said that.  Why? Because like half of the world’s population, I have hope in beginnings (the rest of you are broken inside). Also, because 2017 had a mean left hook, that year did everything but kill me.

So yeah, I’m excited to start new things and push myself more (which is why you are reading this on an actual URL and it’s not just stored away on my computer).  I am very grateful to my new partner for giving me this opportunity and for massaging my ego enough to get me to write the first post of our new home (that’s a play on homepage, get it).
